Description
Responsibilities
Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, pastries, cakes, and other
confectionery
items.
Decorate cakes and pastries with precision and an artistic touch, ensuring high aesthetic standards.
Develop new recipes and menu items, demonstrating creativity and innovation in
pastry
arts.
Monitor inventory of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock levels.
Ensure all food preparation and storage adheres to strict
food safety
and hygiene regulations.
Operate and maintain all bakery equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
Collaborate effectively with the kitchen team to coordinate production and service schedules.

Requirements
Required skills
1-3 years
of proven experience as a
Pastry Chef
or in a similar role within a professional kitchen.
Demonstrated expertise in preparing various desserts, cakes, and
confectionery
items.
Strong understanding of baking principles, techniques, and ingredient functionality.
In-depth knowledge of
food safety
and sanitation standards (HACCP or similar).
Excellent creativity, attention to detail, and artistic ability in food presentation.
Ability to work efficiently, manage time effectively, and maintain productivity in a fast-paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice to have
Culinary degree or a relevant certification from a recognized institution.
Experience with menu development and cost control.
Portfolio showcasing previous pastry and cake decoration work.
Knowledge of international pastry trends and techniques.
