Description
Responsibilities:
- Prepare a wide variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cakes, and desserts, following established recipes and quality standards.
- Accurately measure and mix ingredients, operate baking equipment safely, and ensure consistent product quality.
- Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders as needed to maintain adequate stock.
- Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Experiment with new recipes and techniques to develop innovative baked goods and improve existing offerings.
- Collaborate effectively with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products.
- Oversee the cooling, glazing, and decorating of baked items.

Requirements
Required skills:
- Proven experience as a Baker or Pastry Chef, ideally 2-3 years in a commercial kitchen or bakery setting.
- In-depth knowledge of baking principles, ingredients, and various types of doughs and batters.
- Ability to read, understand, and accurately follow complex recipes.
- Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations (HACCP principles).
- Creativity and artistic flair for decorating and presenting baked goods.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Nice to Have:
- Culinary degree or professional baking/pastry certification.
- Experience with sourdough starters or artisan bread production.
- Proficiency in making specialized dietary items (e.g., gluten-free, vegan).
